HOW OUR DATA WORKS

What data do we use?

AgriESG uses structured farm information such as energy use, water use, inputs, waste practices, and basic labour and governance details. Each data field follows a defined format to ensure consistency, (for example, numbers within a specific range or selected categories). This ensures information can be processed consistently and fairly across farms.

How is it checked?

The platform Applies built-in checks to improve data quality. Entries must follow realistic ranges and correct formats before scoring. Missing data is handled transparently and is not artificially estimated, it does not rely on manual adjustments. All calculations follow rules that have already been set to ensure consistency and transparency.

Why are the results credible?

All scores are generated using predefined, rule-based calculations. The same data will always produce the same result. There is no manual adjustment or subjective judgement in the scoring process. The goal is to provide a clear, repeatable, and explainable summary of sustainability performance, designed to support learning, discussion, and improvement.
